KuCoin: 20 million USD fund acquired

The Chinese crypto exchange KuCoin reported on 14th November that the Series A funding round had now been completed, whereby they had received a total of 20 million US dollars in funding from various venture capital companies.

According to KuCoin, the funds provided by IDG Capital, Matrix Partners and Neo Global Capital will be used to launch the new “KuCoin 2.0” platform. In addition, the funds will be used to:

  • Increase the number of support employees to guarantee smooth cutomer service
  • To offer trading services worldwide
  • Promote blockchain research in order to stay technically up to date,
  • To train new staff as well as to train existing employees

In addition, “efforts will continue to be made to find ‘hidden jewels’ in the cryptospire and to establish themselves as the ‘crypot exchange of humans’ during the growth of the stock exchange,” the official announcement says.

NEO Global Capital, in cooperation with the Chinese crypto asset “NEO”, has invested in various blockchain start-ups in recent months, such as the South Korean music project “Muzika” in September.
